Box Sports purchases used equipment and resells it at a reasonable
cost to the community.
We offer the seller three options:
1) Buy it! – We will buy your
gear and give you cash on the spot for it.
2) Trade it! – Trade in your
old gear towards equipment in the store or for a discount off of
your in-store purchase.
3) Consign it! – Generally
this option will give you the maximum amount of money for your gear.
Before we agree to consign gear, an agreement is negotiated as to
the percentage of the sale the seller and the store split and to
the length of time the gear will be consigned. The seller is responsible
to set the price of the gear. The equipment will remain in the store
until it is sold or until the end of the negotiated length of time.
Once the gear is sold, the seller will receive their money. There
is no guarantee that the gear will be sold.
Here's what you do...
Bring your gear to Penalty Box Sports during business
hours. For whichever option you choose, we will need to visually
inspect the gear in our store. Factors such as condition, age, size,
and resale-ability are considered when determining the value of
the gear.
For people who live outside our local community
and can’t get to the store, there is an option. Contact us
and let us know that you are interested in selling your gear to
our store. Send us pictures of the items if possible. Then send
us the gear. We will inspect it and contact you with our offer price.
Once we reach an agreed upon price, we will send payment. Note:
the seller pays all shipping costs.
